It all started from a story…
“...the bird had been sat in the middle of the track, but as the bikes approached it tried to fly away. -Unfortunately for the gull, Iannone smacks the bird full on with his helmet, sending it sprawling back to the ground.”

Conception
Kim needed a logo for his Slotcar business. He was inspired by the above story and how one of the key subject matters mentioned in the story ties neatly with the name of his company.
He brought to my attention one Sunday, a single image: Andreas Iannones, holding a helmet with a cartoon seagull on it. This marked the infamous day he intwined with the beast.
Ideation
We took this image, missing all of the important parts of the cartoon seagull. And I added to the overall design.
Remixing the design with “Loony Toons“ style typography and background image to fit the whole look.
